Where power meets purpose
UpSol was founded with a goal to address both the business and societal needs for access to renewable energy in remote locations.
The technology that's allowing companies to reduce their energy costs and decarbonise operations is a viable reality and this translates to lower energy costs and increased earnings, while displacing dependence on fossil fuels for electricity generation.
Our energy solutions are underpinned by advancements intelligent manufacturing, IoT and software integration, coordinating solar generation and energy storage with the grid and our customer's energy needs. With efficiency and modularity in our ethos, our solutions are designed to be rapidly deployed and scaled up or down to suit various applications.
From our operations in Melbourne, Australia, we're proud to have been born out of the University of Melbourne's MAP Velocity Program in 2022, announced as an Australian winner of the 2022 Climate KIC pitch competition and validated the ongoing need for electrification in remote communities in the developing world through research culminating in a Master's Thesis on 'Energy Poverty' (2023).

Our Story
Victor Nguyen
Founder & CEO,
As a Procurement and Contracts professional, with over 12 years experience in the building materials, mining, infrastructure, waste and technology sectors at Boral (ASX: BLD), Cleanaway (ASX: CWY) and Siemens (DAX: SIE), Victor delivered not only significant commercial outcomes, but also took unconventional approaches and deep research to drive continuous improvement and shared learning.
An MBA from Melbourne Business School, taught Victor the rigorous business practices that he has applied in developing UpSol's business model, while his care for community and environment compelled him to address the challenges of renewable energy adoption for businesses, with an unwavering mission to improve lives in remote communities held back by energy poverty.
Currently completing a Graduate Certificate in Renewable Energy Technologies, Victor is embedding his real world experience in an educational setting, to propel UpSol to greater heights.
